Unfortunately, this feature doesn't currently exist. I asked our deliverablity manager, who agreed it would be valuable information to have. He's passed the request along to our developers. You can also suggest it in our Feature Request Forum. The most voted on features move to the head of our programmer's queue.

I was just, told by Benchmark Support, that it is "compulsory" to have the "Report Abuse" link in all Benchmark emails.

Here is my question. How come the "Report Abuse" link is NOT compulsory in the campaigns of all other Email Marketing companies, for whom showing the "Unsubscribe" button in the emails is more than sufficient?

Having this "Report Abuse" link in Benchmark is SO inconvenient, as there will always be one out of 2000 recipients who would hit the "Report Abuse" link, for whatever reason.  This affects the good standing of ALL the 'good' and non-spamy senders, and eventually ALL their recipients!  I do hope, that Benchmark will take this under consideration immediately, before it starts loosing all its clients one-by-one.  It makes so much more sense to just have the "Unsubscribe" option!

Is it possible to remove 'Report Abuse' link in the footer of the emails? Wouldn't be enough to just have 'Unsubscribe'? Especially, considering that there is a good chance that one out of 2000 recipients may touch the 'Report Abuse' link... even if it happens only accidentally, it ruins your score in the entire email history!  I do like Benchmark and wouldn't want to be forced to switch to another company... But I see emails from other Email Marketing companies, such as Constant Contact, and I never see the 'Report Abuse' links in their emails, only the sufficient enough options 'to unsubscribe'.  Please advise.

#351 Soft Bounces

Hello SNGA,

Soft bounces usually refer to some temporary issue on the recipients end, such as:

• Full inbox
• Email address temporarily disabled
• Service to busy to accept emails

After a quick check with our Deliverability Manager, he suggested saving the list of bounced AOL contacts and resending the email to that list. If the issue is a temporary one, such as mentioned above, the emails should be delivered.

Otherwise, if you would like to get a more detailed review of the bounces, please contact our support department and provide them with your account username and the name of the campaign that is problematic. They can take a deeper look into the issue and provide you with a more concrete explanation and solution.

UPDATE: The bug has been reported. There is a fix that you could utilize immediately, if you'd like. If you're familiar with any of the many great free iframe apps, you can install one on your page and use the code from any signup form you create within your Benchmark account. It does allow for some more flexibility with appearance and will guarantee that it works the way you want it to.

#191 Benchmark sent my email to a deleted list

Yesterday I logged in and uploaded a new list to send to -- one that I had spent a considerable amount of time working on to get fine tuned. While it was uploading, I prepared a mail to send, and when it was ready, I sent it out. To my surprise, when I looked at the stats for the mail, it had only gone to 598 people, rather than the 900+ on the new list I'd just uploaded. With a sinking feeling in my heart, I realized that I had not gone back to Step 2 and specified to Benchmark that it was to send the email to the new list before pressing send. I felt like a total idiot.

Then I realized that instead of telling me that I hadn't specified a list to send to in Step 2, Benchmark just chose a list at random and used it...and the list it chose was a list I had DELETED several weeks ago! I absolutely did not want to send to that list, but it was too late, the damage was done.

I'm pretty unhappy about this. I know the initial mistake was mine, but I would never have expected that your system would use a list that had been deleted! Especially since my account only lets me have 1000 names at a time, I am constantly deleting lists and uploading new ones that are tailored to my mailing.

I don't even want to think about how much money my non-profit lost out on because of this error. Very unhappy.

Thanks for the reply. For some reason I did not realize you had replied to this until I manually checked this thread. I just sent support an email regarding the issue as I get it in both Chrome and Firefox.

#162 Printing e-mail

It is possible to print any and all emails created with Benchmark Email. The process varies slightly for Mac and PC, but should be simple either way.

When you are logged into your Benchmark Email account, go to the Emails tab. Select the magnifying glass icon next to the name of the email you would like to print, to view that email campaign. Then, right click on the campaign and print the page.

If the email is already in your inbox, you can open it in it's own window and File > Print.

Hello Dave!

Benchmark Email offers the ability to access templates that have been created and sent by you. What this means is, so long as you have sent out the template you created to at least one email contact, you can access that template as many times as needed for future mailings.

Here are the steps you'll want to follow:

1. You will need to send out the base template you created to at least one contact. This can be achieved by creating a contact list with just yourself on the list and scheduling the email to be delivered to that list.

2. Once completed, click on "Create New Email" from the My Home tab or click on "Create Email" from the Emails Dashboard.

3. Fill out the information for each step until you get to Step 3.

4. In step 3, you will see a link on the top left of your screen that states "My Email Layouts" (example below):

Click to open the available layouts.

5. Select the desired template and click "Save and Next".

6. Now you are in Step 4 and the template content can be edited and scheduled for delivery.
